Free Access for Licensed Tax Professionals

Are you a licensed tax preparer, CPA, or enrolled agent looking to recommend Booksmaster to your clients? We offer complimentary access during the 2026 tax year to help you evaluate the software.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Valid license (CPA, EA, PTIN, or state tax preparer license)
  • Professional email address or business website
  • Intent to recommend to contractor clients

To apply for free access: Contact us with your license number and professional credentials. We'll verify and provide you with full access to evaluate Booksmaster for your contractor clients.

Note: This program is designed to help tax professionals evaluate Booksmaster for their clients. General users should purchase the Founding Member ($70 lifetime) or Standard Offline ($200 lifetime) license.

❓ Common Questions

How do I get a Google AI key?

Visit Google AI Studio to generate an API key. Important: We strongly recommend purchasing a Tier 1 paid account (approximately $2/month for typical usage) rather than using the free tier. The free tier has strict rate limits that cause failures when processing large batches of receipts.

Installation issues on Windows

If you see a SmartScreen warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway". Booksmaster is safe but not yet code-signed. Requires Windows 10 or newer (64-bit).

Receipt scanning not working

Ensure you've entered your Google AI key in Settings. Check your internet connection—AI features require online access. For offline use, Tesseract OCR fallback is available but less accurate.

Data backup recommendations

Your data is stored locally in your user directory. We recommend regular backups to external drives or cloud storage. Export your data via Settings → Export Data for safekeeping.

When will mobile/cloud version launch?
